What you have is a traditional bungalow that was probably built between 1920 and 1950. The West Coast in general and Seattle (where I live and work) in particular is full of them. You could Google traditional bungalow and find lots of examples. It does appear as if it has been added on to in the past.
It looks to me like it might be a "Sears Modern Home" The Dayton model which they sold between 1933 and 1940. The architectural writer on About.com has some excellent articles on the bungalow style. You might try looking over her stuff. http://architecture.about.com/
