Hi everyone.
I'm considering going back to school (from a totally unrelated field) to get a 3-year MArch. I'm very interested in specializing in historic preservation, but worried that it might not be a very useful specialization later on when I'm trying to find a job. The job market is daunting enough as it is.
Has anyone out there taken this track? What kind of projects/jobs did it lead to, if any? I'd be particularly interested in working abroad, but I assume this is even more difficult to manage.
Also, I'm wondering if it's just a better idea to get a generic MArch and then find internships later on in the field of historic preservation.
