Recently I've been unable to log into the PowerCADD forum. I mentioned this to Kevin Matthews and he said that after upgrading to OX 10.5.6 and with Safari 3.2.1 he hasn't been able to log in, either, but finds it works fine with Firefox.

Kevin is going to work on the forum when he gets back from the Xmas vacation, so in the meantime, that's the workaround.

I use 10.5.6 with Safari 3.1.2 with no problems here.

other than the fact that this forum is... if not deceased, definitely laying on the newspaper on the bottom of the cage, and not moving... not dead yet, just pinin' for the fjords.

I am experiencing exactly what Alfred describes. No log in/view of new stuff with Safari. Firefox works.

I had problems with 3.2.0 when it was first released and there was a fair bit of discussion regarding problems at the time.

So I reverted back to 3.1.2 and all is working fine. It appears that 3.2.1 has not fixed things so I've set Software Update to ignore Safari updates until this is sorted.

The latest Safari update seems to have broken some things related to cookies. Namely, cookies are deleted way too often, even if they're supposed to be persistent. I haven't had any trouble logging in, but I now need to do it every few days instead of every few months. One thing I've heard is that if you have any web clips from Safari in your Dashboard, it causes your cookies to reset. The only solution is to remove any web clips you have on the Dashboard. I haven't yet determined if this works or not.

Amazing. On reading the above posting, I just closed the dashboard web clip window on this Mac OS X 1.5.6, Safari 3.2.1 system, and immediately I was able to login here again with Safari.

I've been having the log in problems. I have never used the Dashboard web clip widget, but I closed it anyhow and am still having problems logging in. (I posted this message via Firefox.)

Speaking of OS 10.5.6...... any issues with PC 8 and the update? I typically wait to see if anyone posts any issues here before I download any updates.

With the new security update (February 12), I am now able to use Safari with this forum... I guess whatever was broken (for me, at least), is now fixed...

Yep, this has fixed it for me as well. Also a problem I had with online banking has been fixed. Fingers crossed...
