Okay, what's your list? What are the buildings of the new millennium that you keep on loving, keep going back to look at, maybe to learn from?

We're looking for your ideas about the ten best buildings of the last ten years. Large and small, any building type, worldwide. Single nominations okay, top ten lists super. Link to some reference like Archiplanet or AW or elsewhere, a big help to the community. And you don't have to stop at ten if you don't want to.

I really like Piano Renzo's Academy of Sciences in California.
Pretty much the ultimate marrage between nature and the built environment.

Btw, Archiplanets photography is hugely inadequate I think.

Linking some random flickr images.

Okay, I'll throw my tuppence worth in and nominate the following which immediately spring to mind....

BedZED (Beddington Zero Energy Development), Surrey, England
(Bill Dunster Architects, 2002)
Seminal low energy mass housing prototype, paved the way for similar schemes and initiatives in the years when global warming became enemy number 1

Senedd (Welsh Assembly) Building, Cardiff, Wales
(Rogers, Stirk, Harbour & Partners, 2006)
Simple and beautiful concept for a nationally important parliament building, representing the Welsh nation (water, land, sky), democracy and incorporating a range of passive environmental bells and whistles.
