CNET recently did a Display Deathmatch. The results aren't surprising.

One thing about these kinds of reviews. When the results are close there's a very good chance that the winner was determined by manufacturing variances and not overall quality.

Not that either is a bad unit. Smile

Backtracking a bit, (see pages 2 and 3 of this thread), I think the attached might be the ultimately 'transparent' statement on cats and monitors. See also www.flickr.com/photos/w00kie/sets/180637/

Sorry for the bump to a truly old thread. I took a picture at the time of Chris Black's post about his cats, meaning to post it but never did. It wasn't important 'till today.

For the last nearly 20 years my desk has been the home of 9 different Mac's, and 3 different WACOM tablets but only one cat as my nearly constant companion. At just a few months shy of 20 a vet recently said he was healthy for his age, but today he was taken by a coyote. I used to curse at him for messing up the desk, throwing up on it and stepping on the keys, but today I miss him. Work won't be the same.

I'm sorry for your cat.

Where we live, it is entirely verboten to let our cats outside. They are content staying indoors. Truth be told, it was an annoyance when I was intensely involved on my Mac in design when Chloe wanted to land on my lap.
